My name is Douglas Swindler, I am currently a student in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and I am the only child of my mother Rebecca Swindler. In February of this year my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, she is currently scheduled to start chemotherapy and have surgery to fight this. I am starting this fundraiser to try raise money as it is my wish to help her fulfill lifelong dream of visiting the Black Hills in South Dakota. She has always wanted to visit them for their long history of Indigenous Ceremony and cultural significance but life circumstances have always kept this dream on the back burner. I realize that this is a tough time to be asking for donations so even if you could share this campaign, it would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to raise enough to cover travel, food and hotel costs for 4-5 days as well as any other costs that may arise to take her on her dream trip.
