My daughter died suddenly on Oct 19, 2015 of an asthma attack. Her dream was to become a nurse and help people. Sydney had a huge heart. This scholarship is very personal to me to preserve Sydney's memory. At the same time create a lasting legacy in Sydney's honor.

I created this scholarship in her honor to help students to pursue their dream of a career in healthcare . Last year's scholarship was awarded To Miss Holly James  and this year's scholarship I've already paid

The scholarship is a 1000.00 each  year for one recipient  for a   10 years or greater. This scholarship has a GPA criteria to be eligible for award and chosen through the counseling dept of Bethel Park High School.


Since I started this memorial scholarship, I had many friends and family willing to donate but I was unsuccessful in creating a means to accept donations.

 Through this GOFUNDME site we are now able to accept all  donations and they are greatly appreciated. The Sydney Marie Romanus Memorial Scholarship page is available to view on Facebook. This page has many photos of Sydney with friends and different years of her short life.  So please help me to preserve Syds memory with this scholarship.
