Hello Westview,
On Wednesday September 16th a large tree split in two on Linda Way falling onto an adjacent house. Three of our neighbors were inside at the time, one was able to escape on his own, another was rescued by neighbors and AFD, a third neighbor tragically lost his life in the accident.
The Crawford Family is a legacy family of Westview, having lived in the community for over 40 years. In a few short moments the lives of those who survived changed forever. The home will be a complete loss with 90% being destroyed by the falling tree according to AFD.
We will not identify the young man out of respect for the family but he was raised in Westview. Recently he graduated from law school and was studying to pass GA Bar Exam.
This fund is being set up to support the family in getting back on their feet as they navigate this tragedy. The fund was set up by the leadership of the Westview Community Organization. Everything raised will go directly to the family.
The campaign was launched with the permission of the family.
