33 year old mum of 2 fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

One of my closest friends Claudia, has recently been diagnosed with acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and needs our help. Claudia is a much loved wife, daughter, sister, friend and most importantly, she is a mother to 2 beautiful little girls Daisy (3) and Elodie (0). She received this devastating diagnosis after feeling unwell with what she thought was a virus her body couldn't fight. She took herself to hospital after a week of failed antibiotics, and was delivered the devastating and completely unexpected news that she had AML.

Claudia is currently on maternity leave after having their second little girl Elodie only 11 weeks ago. This time that should be spent adapting and loving as a family of 4, is now spent navigating hospital visitation, household chores and bills. She is currently admitted as an inpatient and has commenced chemotherapy this week, with a prolonged hospital admission forecast. This has seen her having to cease breastfeeding abruptly, navigate a separation from her 2 beautiful girls and husband Joel and for Joel to shift away from work so he can be available for her during this difficult time. As you can imagine, the financial implications from the loss of a steady income becomes an added stress to their already turned upside down world.

Money raised will be going directly to Claudia and Joel to ease the financial pressure and will be put towards any medical expenses and household bills during this extremely difficult time.
