My brother Vinnie was hurt at work when a 6” concrete pump line exploded under pressure. The line swung around and struck 2 people who ended up with significant injuries. Vinnie happened to be one of those struck by this hose smashing him in his ankle leaving Vinnie with Torn tendons, Ligaments, and evulsion fractures. Vinnie underwent surgery to reconstruct his ankle which included a Tendon transfer, rebuilding of tendons, removing a bone chunk, and having anchors drilled into his ankle to attach the new tendon. The injury will leave Vinnie out of work for 4-9 months. Vinnie is the primary provider for his family. Because this is workman’s compensation there are costs that are not covered like his wife also having to take time off from work to care for him and paying people to help with property maintenance while recovering. If you know Vinnie then you know he would give you the shirt of his back. Please help as you are able.
