Running for Relief: Supporting Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
My name is Cedric Rose, I'm from Jacksonville Beach Florida and I’m raising funds in partnership with American Friends of Jamaica, with 100% of proceeds going directly to their relief efforts for communities affected by Hurricane Melissa.
This cause is deeply personal to me.
My father was born and raised in Jamaica before immigrating to the United States with his family. Though he went on to serve 25 years in the U.S. Navy, he never forgot the country that shaped him. The values, culture, and pride of Jamaica have always remained a part of our family’s identity.
Today, we still have close family on the island, many of whom have been impacted by the recent storm. In their honor—and in tribute to my father’s lifelong connection to Jamaica—I’ll be running the Gate River Run to raise funds for the ongoing relief and rebuilding efforts.
All donations made here will go directly to the American Friends of Jamaica, a trusted organization working to deliver aid, supplies, and long-term support to affected communities.
Your contribution will help families recover and rebuild after this devastating event. Thank you for supporting the people of Jamaica during this critical time.
