My name is Scott Martin and my wife and I are racing from Indonesia, where we serve an international Christian School, back to Omaha Nebraska, where my father has entered hospice care. Less than a year ago people from around the world helped get my wife to the US for her family when her father passed away. Just a few months ago you rallied to get us to Thailand to get emergency healthcare for me. Now it's my father. We are blessed to be a part of an interconnected world, and a global community that cares for each other. My father served communion in his church just a week ago, and now he lays in a bed, physically humbled by cancer and a damaged heart. We pray, as we fly, that we will be blessed with a few more wonderful moments with a truly great man. We are truly grateful for all the wonderful moments we have had in the life we have shared. His life, well lived, he impacted so many, we strive to live like that. As you probably know, my wife and I do not fundraise, we do not have a sending organization or emergency support, we live on faith and the stipend provided by the school.
