Help Steve Get Back on His Feet Again

Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you are aware, my best friend and partner of over fifteen years recently had a major stroke. The stroke occurred just days after Thanksgiving and has uprooted our very existence and is taking our lives in a direction we never could have anticipated. Steve has made tremendous progress in the last several weeks but still has quite a ways to go. This is why I am here now. I’m writing this on Steve’s behalf and mine. Steve and I are very prideful people. We take joy in helping others and helping our community. However, now we need your help. Steve is currently in a rehabilitation program and will return home on Dec 30, 2022.

Steve and I both have worked in the hospitality industry for dozens of years. Unfortunately, the lack of insurance is causing financial hardship for us both. The mounting medical bills and future physical therapy expenses are beyond our means and we need your help. We went from a dual-income family to a single-income.

Your donation to our fund will help provide Steve with a caregiver while I work and to cover current and future expenses. I’m not certain of how long it will take for Steve to fully recover and I need your support while I help him learn to walk and talk again. I place no expectations on anyone at this time but I do ask for your monetary donation to help me get Steve back on his feet and doing what he loves best; making people laugh and sharing a happy life with me.
