Support Owen's Journey to Recovery

On June 28th, Owen was on a golf trip with friends in Chattanooga when he fell from a golf cart and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He was rushed to Erlanger Hospital, where doctors discovered three separate brain bleeds. Owen underwent emergency surgery, a craniotomy, to relieve pressure on his brain and save his life.

Since the accident, Owen has made remarkable progress. What began in the ICU, intubated and surrounded by machines, has turned into moments of clarity, strength, and hope. He’s now eating, talking, recognizing loved ones, and even taking his first assisted steps. Every small victory is a testament to his determination, paired with the steady love and support from his wife Jess, his family, and friends. While the progress has been uplifting, the road to full recovery is still long.

Owen will face months of intensive rehabilitation, with possible stays at specialized facilities like Vanderbilt in Nashville or the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. During this time, both he and Jess will be away from home and unable to work, all while managing the weight of everyday responsibilities. From medical bills and rehab costs to their mortgage, car payments, and basic living expenses, along with travel, meals, and temporary housing near the treatment center, the financial strain is significant. Your support will help lighten this burden so Jess can focus fully on being by Owen’s side every step of the way.

Owen and Jess are newly married and never imagined starting their life together this way. If you know them, you know how selfless, joyful, and faith-filled they are. They’ve shown so much strength and grace through this unimaginable time and now we want to be there for them.

Please consider donating to help relieve some of the financial burden so Jess can focus fully on caring for Owen without the added stress. Every gift, no matter the amount, means the world to them. And if you’re unable to give, your continued prayers, love, and shares of this page are just as meaningful. The outpouring of support has already been such a comfort during this time, and they are deeply grateful for the strength and kindness of the community surrounding them.

We’ll continue to share updates on Owen’s recovery here as he takes each step forward. Thank you for being part of this journey and for surrounding Owen and Jess with such an incredible circle of love, faith, and support. Your kindness truly means more than words can express.

With love and hope,

The Friends and Family of Owen & Jess
