A Little Princess In Darwin

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this.

I know we all get swamped by requests to donate and I understand myself its really hard going raising a family and moneys often tight around Christmas.

I dropped my son at school today and was confronted by a mother in enormous distress about her ability to financially raise her 4  year old daughter on her own with the recent passing of her husband and her daughters father.

Sadly he was also lost to cancer. They have been taking life day by day and both struggling with the loss of the most important person in their lives.

The mother works full time and very hard with 2 jobs. She has limited skills and employment oppertunitys paying more are not really an option. As we all know Darwin is a really expensive city to live and this mum is completely beside herself that her daughters birthday is coming up and it was a promise to her late husband she would make sure their daughter had a proper party.

The reason i am hoping to raise alot more than needed for a party is to hopefully provide a period of less stress for both her and her daughter financially over the coming months. They are also in a hard position having had to pay for a funeral.

Out of respect to the mother and child i wont be posting personal information or photos. I hope we can all chip in ANY amount you can spare from one stranger to another at this time. I apologize in advance if this offends anyone in anyway. Its 4am and ive been thinking about her all night, its such a sad situation. Love and light Katy Sullivan
