Ude, Where's My Car: Mongol Rally
Donation protected
We're Robbie, Kyle, Felipe and Nick.
This summer, we plan on completing the Mongol Rally, a 10,000-mile transcontinental drive from London, UK to Ulan Ude, Russia. As we like to think we are as competent as Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott in the millennial classic, we are officially called “Ude, Where’s My Car?” The ride takes us from the gates of the Royal City, through Buda and Pest, around almost the entire border of the Black Sea (except the Ukraine part), on a ferry across the Caspian Sea, to the Door To Hell (google it), along the Silk Road through the ancient cities of Bukhara and Samarkand, in the rugged Mongolian Steppe, and finally at our Russian terminus in Ulan Ude. Our route will take us across some of the harshest terrain on the planet, and we’ll have no support (mechanical, logistical, or legal) along the way.
That is where you come in – we could use some (uh, lots of) help! We need support for necessities like a car, food, navigation, and accommodations. We also need ways to capture the journey, whether it is a GoPro, camera, or a SPOT tracker. But, not only are we trying to have the adventure of a lifetime, we are also supporting two important charities in the process: the Cool Earth Foundation and Seeds of Peace.

Please make a donation of the prices below to help us with specific parts of our trip:
• The Car: $4400. We aren’t walking.
• Toolkit: $220. The car will break.
• Gas: $850. Give us the fuel we need to make it through our journey.
• Food: $1650. Give us the fuel we need to make it through our journey.
• First aid kid: $30 Safety isn’t a joke.
• Speakers: $220. We can’t listen to Felipe talk about consulting all day.
• Navigation System: $115. Keep us out of Iran!
• Solar Panel: $115. Power the GPS, Speakers, and phone chargers - Robbie needs to Instagram.
• Tent: $110. We don’t need to even pitch this.
• Stove: $90. We are excited to try goat testicle, but not sure we could eat it every night.
• Visas: $1350/person. Help us make our passports look really sweet!
• Roof Rack: $830. Everyone likes a big rack.
• SPOT Tracker: $110. If you want to see where we are at all times even when we do not have Wifi, then help us get a SPOT Tracker (Hint: moms out there, I know you want to know where your kids are. Or maybe you don’t. But even if you don’t, you want to see when we might be getting home).

About the charities.
Cool Earth. In the past forty years, half the world’s rainforests have been lost. Cool Earth seeks to combat that by placing the future of the forest in the hands of those who rely on it most, indigenous villages. With amazing projects all around the world, Cool Earth is generating a greener world while empowering local communities. The one terrain we will have the least of is rainforests, but that does not mean they are not important. Cool Earth is a great cause and we are excited to support them throughout this process!
Seeds of Peace. Founded in 1993, Seeds of Peace has brought over 5,000 young adults from conflict regions for a three-week camp in Maine. At camp, the Seeds engage in rigorous dialogue, sharing stories, opinions, and starting to understand other sides of the conflict. At Seeds, campers are exposed to new perspectives, peoples, and places. Similarly, on the rally, we will experience places and peoples we have never come into contact with, and are excited about the opportunity to learn. We fully believe and support Seed’s mission, hence why we are fundraising for them.
