Hello to family and friends. As you know I have always been very open about my adoption and of course my Colombian roots. At the beginning of the year I decided it's time return to Colombia. This will be my first trip back since my adoption and I'm quite excited as it has been a long time waiting for me to be able to fulfill my hearts desire to visit Colombia. I have started the process for my trip by getting all the paperwork that is required together and updated which includes , Green card status, Colombian passport and Cedulla (state I.D. card) . Becca also has to get her US passport updated. We are planning for a two week trip hopefully sometime in May. We look forward to a trip full of adventure sharing in new experiences with the intention of enjoying the beauty of the land, the culture, the people and of course we can't forget about the delicious Colombian cuisine. Our time in Colombia will include visiting Bogota the city where I was born and also Villavicencio where Paraiso Infantil (orphanage) was located, now has transition into a Christian school.

Back in 2000 I had planned a trip to return to Colombia but I was encouraged not to go by Miss Nancy the director of Paraiso Infantil. Being a Colombian citizen I was eligible at the time to be drafted into the Colombian military, I'm currently 54 so the drafting is no longer a concern, Praise the Lord!

Becca has traveled to Colombia on several occasions with Miss Nancy and I believe that this will be very helpful.
