My name is Melanie Pina. I was Diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis on January 2018. I had 34% out of 100% kidney function. For years I was on a high dosage of steroids and over 14 pills of medication per day. This year, January 2021 I found out my kidneys were at a 12%. At that point the doctor told me to get ready for dialysis. I lost my job, and I could barely work a part time job without being in pain. Both the Lupus and Kidney disease were affecting me. By August 2021 I was at 8% kidney function and had to go through dialysis surgery. I am now on a transplant list but it takes 3-5 years. I am trying to get on other transplant lists and need help covering those costs. I am even applying in Texas…I’m from Miami. Dialysis makes me not be able to have a job and I have to do it from home everyday for 8-10 hours in the day. Finances are hard and my kidneys are declining rapidly, I would like to find a donation center and get a transplant before it gets worse. Thank you to everyone who donates
