Jared McManus funeral expenses

As everyone knows, the world tragically lost a wonderful, kind hearted soul this past Friday, December 2nd. For those of you that don't know about Jared, he was an awesome 17 year old kid. He was a junior here in Ilion at CVA. He was a friend to everyone and cared about anyone who crossed his path. I am starting this go fund me acct to help Jarod's family cover the cost of his final expenses. As we all know, this is something that very few parents plan for. It's our worst nightmare. Having to worry about expenses should be the last thing on a parents mind at a time like this, but unfortunately, it matters. If any of us can at least lessen just this one burden from them at this time, it's one less thing they have to worry about. Many have asked "what can I do for them"? Well please, even if its 5 dollars, it helps. If you are unable to contribute financially, there has been a fund set up for the McManus family at the Mohawk redemption center. Bring in your cans and bottles and just let them know you would like the money to go to the Jared McManus family. They say the average funeral costs anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 dollars. A huge amount when its so unexpected. I have watched this community pull together on so many occasions when it matters most and help do phenomenal things for one another. Please let this be one of them.

Update: I just spoke with Jared's family. They are beyond grateful to every single one of you and would also like everyone to know that anything raised beyond Jared's funeral expenses, will be donated to suicide prevention and bullying awareness. Thank you all so very much for your donations!
