Emergency Hysterectomy

Hey there, for those that may not know my name is Crystal Baker, I am a mom of two boys and have been married for 10 years to my husband Keith. We both work for a school district, he is a teacher and I am a paraprofessional.

I am reaching out in hopes to raise money for the loss of income that we are about to experience, and for medical expenses that may be needed upfront.

In 2014 my appendix ruptured and nearly killed me, leaving me with a large scar and immense amounts of scar tissue. I’ve since had 2 laparoscopic surgeries to scrape the adhesions and ease the pain. It has been 4 years since my last one, and has gotten to a point of needing an emergency Hysterectomy. The doctors wanted to do it tomorrow, but I was able to convince them to push it out a week so that I can better prepare myself and my family, and try to raise enough money for the possible down payment. 

Unfortunately, I am out of days to use at my job which will leave me without pay for anywhere from 2 weeks to a month, depending on when I can go back. The doctor is worried that it may be a longer recovery due to all of the previous surgeries and scar tissue that he will have to work around.

My husband and I do not like asking for handouts, or for help, but we have reached a point of desperation. He is also going to be doing door dash, and Lyft and find any other means of income that work around his schedule.
