My name is Holly and I am asking for funds to help my dad. Last year around this time, he had a major stroke, which luckily he was able to recover from physically for the most part. This stroke left him with additional challenges that he will have to work through for the rest of his life. My dad, being the proud, independent person that he is, continued to work after his stroke. Yesterday, he was cleaning someone's gutters and fell off their roof, causing him to shatter his tibia and fibula. He will have a long road to recovery and unfortunately, will not be able to work. He has his own landscaping business and will not be able to finish out the season. The money he earns this time of year gets him through the winter and helps to pay for any equipment repair or replacements that might be needed next season.

Funds will be used to help him remain independent: medical bills, home bills, and savings to repair equipment in the coming year so he can continue to support himself.

My dad is the type of person who will not say no to anyone in need. Meaning, he would give his last dollar to you if you asked. I am hoping that others will show him some kindness and support during this challenging time.
