I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant, and last Thursday I was involved in a 3-car accident during rush hour on OR-126.
Traffic slowed and I came to a complete stop. The car behind me tried to avoid hitting me and swerved into the guardrail. A third car then rear-ended them at speed, pushing that vehicle into mine.
The impact was sudden and unavoidable. Thankfully, the baby is okay.
The at-fault driver’s insurance has accepted full responsibility. However, due to policy limits and the order of impact, their coverage is being applied to the second vehicle first, and there are no remaining funds available for my damages.
My car has been declared a total loss.
This has left me without a vehicle at a time when I need consistent access to transportation for medical appointments and to prepare for my baby’s arrival. We’re doing our best to manage everything already in place, but we don’t have the flexibility to take on an unexpected expense like replacing a car right now.
As difficult as it is for me to ask for help, this is bigger than my own comfort. I’m raising funds to purchase a used, safe, and reliable vehicle so I can get through the remainder of my pregnancy and have basic transportation once the baby arrives.
If you’re able to contribute, I’m truly grateful. If not, sharing this would help.
Thank you.
