House Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, community members.
I am writing on behalf of Diane Tonkin and her beautiful Fasano grandchildren. They lost their home in Garnerville on Sunday, November 20th due to an electrical fire. Diane has resided in the home since it was built in 1949.
--While the insurance company has ensured their home will eventually be rebuilt (at least 6-8 months was the given estimate) in the meantime, there are financial difficulties. It is the day-to-day cost of living that has become a great burden. Until the insurance company can locate long-term housing, the family is staying in a motel (covered by insurance) Once they get into the housing, it will be much more cost-efficient to cook; in the meantime, food is costly, and because of lost work days and extra expenses, the family is in need of financial help. Once they are put into long-term housing, they will also need to pay double O&R (not covered by insurance...electric for the long term housing set-up on top of electric for their home on Wall Street that needs power while being rebuilt.)
Anything will help.
Any money raised that is not used for living necessities (food, power, gasoline) will be donated to charity. Hopefully this will be the case, because we are hoping the insurance company's reimbursment will come into effect sooner than later. In the interim, we are so grateful for any help you can offer.
We appreciate your support, prayers, donations, and love more than you know.
Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all.
