They say dogs leave paw prints on your heart, and our rescue dogs Hipi, Phoebe, and Connery certainly did. After losing all three over the years to different types of cancer, I’ve decided to turn my grief into action.

Throughout March, my rescues Betsy and Jack will join me in walking 31 miles to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Our goal is to support life-saving research so that fewer families—human and animal alike—don't have to say goodbye too soon.
