Hi my name is KateLynn McMurry, Ashley’s sister and it breaks my heart to be writing this. We unfortunately lost her Monday, May 1st at 4:51 pm due to complications of her health. If you knew Ashley then you know she put up a tough fight her whole life. If you didn’t, here’s a bit of background knowledge about the battle she fought. Ashley was born with her intestines on the outside of her body with the condition called Gastroschisis and lived with complications ever since then. In 2005 she had a small bowl transplant & was able to live an active life again but then her body rejected it 2014. After that Ashley wasn’t able to work anymore and had to be taken care of from our mother Maureen and grandma Betty. 2017 We found out she needed another bowl transplant but her body unfortunately couldn’t handle that again. In 2022 we found out her kidney were slowly failing and she got put on dialysis which she would need for the rest of her life. She went to the hospital Monday morning due to breathing complications but her heart couldn’t handle it. With this being very sudden we need all the help we can get to to make sure Ashley gets the funeral she wanted and deserved. Anything helps and we appreciate it deeply!!
