Help April Killian get to Paris Fashion Week

Hi lovers!

For those who don’t know me, I’m an entrepreneur. I own a beautiful business specializing in handcrafted luxury, I’ve worked with movies, TV shows, and multiple celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Drew Barrymore, Christina Aguilera. My work was recently featured in Wakanda Forever and has been featured in over 20 TV shows and Netflix Productions. We’ve also had the privilege to work with Canada’s Dragrace multiple times too! My business and my team are my biggest pride. I’ve now had the incredible opportunity to have my work walk the Runways of Paris Fashion Week. I can’t believe this incredible opportunity and I don’t want to miss my chance to leave a mark on an international stage. I’m currently looking to friends, family and my wonderful lovers to help me reach this incredible goal!

The runway is October 1rst and I need to be there a few days before for fittings and decompressing. I also need to stay a few days extra to work PR and make business relations.

I need to create entirely new designs that will dress up 8 Models.

My goal is to leave between September 25th-28th and to come back around October 4-5th.

These funds will help cover

Designing and Creation Fees : 20 000$ (Lots of Work)

Plane for 2 (me and 1 employee) : 2000$

Hotel Room (located near enough to the venue to walk or short cab ride) : 3293$

Opportunity/ Models/ MUAH : 5500$

Food and Other Costs : 1000$

Why am I looking for funding

While we are working with fundings and options to make this opportunity possible, we are looking for funds to make this opportunity memorable. I would like to be able to give it my all and really impress the viewers and international audience. All funds will serve to make my creations as Extra as possible, as Luxurious as possible and as Show stopping as possible. I want to make people Gasp!

Why I need this opportunity

My business has been continuously growing for the past years, keeping me on my toes with new challenges and opportunities. I now feel that I’m in a place comfortable enough to reach for something as big. My team is also solid; we’ve been working together for years. They are solid enough to take this opportunity and see it shine but also create the products that will come out of this new popularity and maintain the space while I’m away. I’d like to be able to see myself the way others see me, a successful designer. In my head I’m either too humble or shy to step my ground and be proud of everything I’ve accomplished. I feel that this opportunity would give me the backbone to. I don’t lack pride in my art, neither confidence that I’m able to do it. Maybe it’s a bit of imposter syndrome in such a big and loud field.

I also need this opportunity to step into another niche. I’ve designed for big names and would love to do more. I feel like placing my art into a niche that is more Haut de Gamme would allow me to create more extra pieces on a day to day. I’d love to design for Lady Gaga or Rhianna, Lizzo and such. They inspire me to do expressive and statement pieces that come from the heart.

I need this opportunity because I want to be a part of the wave of young designers taking space into a whole that is dominated by Big Brands.

I can’t give a lot of details without revealing too much about my personal life and identity.

But I can tell you that we have 7 years of celebrity endorsements, we have been in over 20 TV shows, and we’ve been working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

We have received praise by local small business associations, naming us one of the businesses showcasing the province of Quebec on an international level. We provide meaningful, stimulating employment to 9 people, uninterrupted even during the pandemic. We provide a safe space for our team to work in, we celebrate different cultures, backgrounds, heritages, capacities and more. We also provide a safe space for local creators with our shop that features over 50 local talents.
