Cami's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
For those of you who don’t know, Cami suffers from two autoimmune diseases. An intestinal disease (Ulcerative Colitis) and a liver disease (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis). For the past 10 months Cami has been in a pretty severe flare of her diseases. In March her testing revealed some changes that needed to be addressed quickly through an endoscopic procedure. What the doctors found during the procedure was worse than anticipated and tissue samples were taken to be tested for cancer. The results came back positive for malignant cells. Cami has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer.
She has met with an oncology team and the first step in her treatment is surgery.
This surgery will take place within the next two weeks, and is a very invasive, complex surgery. The recovery will be very difficult and very long (3-4 months).
As you may imagine, this is all coming on very quickly and it is extremely difficult for Cami and her family, as well as many of us who have had the privilege of being impacted by her life. There are a few asks I have of you:
Pray for Cami and her family
Pray for peace of mind as they go through the next couple weeks leading up to surgery. Waiting can sometimes be the most difficult part. Pray for the surgeons and team as this is a complex and difficult surgery. Pray for the results of this surgery that they are better than anticipated.

She loves being able to hear from you all. You are her family and she loves every one of you. Calls are more difficult for her but she appreciates reading your kind words, prayers, or even funny things you may have to send to her.
Help Financially
I’m sure you can all imagine the kind of financial stress a diagnosis like this can put on a family. In order for Cami’s husband to be home to care for her, financial assistance is necessary. So for those of you who are in a position to come alongside Cami and her family in this way, please consider helping financially. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
We are all heartbroken with the diagnosis but hopefully standing with Cami through her journey. Thank you for your kind words, your support, and your love for Cami and her family.
