USF Student Artist Needs Life Changing Eye Therapy
Donation protected
The USF Creative Arts is asking for donations to help one of our current students who will be a junior Graphic Design major in the Fall 2023 to pay for a required eye therapy to help with a recently diagnosed rare condition called BVD (Binocular Vision Dysfunction). Such a rare condition that only 10-20% of people worldwide are diagnosed with it.
She is hoping to start a 10-17 month visual therapy session on May 19, 2023, that will be 5 days a week with an additional in-house session with a specialized therapist to help improve her eyesight.
There is a place in Indiana that does the treatment she needs, and luckily it is in Fort Wayne where she is located. The issue she is now faced with is that the treatment costs $7,000. Unfortunately, her insurance is not going to cover any of the cost due to her high deductible.
She has to have all of the money upfront, and there are no payment plans available through the specialist. If she doesn’t start her treatment on May 19th she will have to wait a whole year before she can get back on to their schedule. This treatment is imperative to help her continue to drive, make art, and live a happy successful life.
Please help us achieve our goal to help Natalie!
God Bless!
