On 02 May 2023, Mississippi State Trooper Watson was shot in the line of duty, while attempting to apprehend a subject. He will have a long road to recovery and he has a wife and daughter at home that depend on him. As many know, we work second jobs to make ends meet and this isn’t possible in events such as this. If you have ever met Watson, you’d know he would give his shirt off his own back to help someone. Let’s help this warrior out. God bless!
Update: Trooper Watson has had surgery to repair the humorous bone in his arm. This surgery was lengthy and will require months of therapy and rehabilitation.
Each and every donation has been a blessing and appreciated! This fundraiser is for the sole purpose to keep their lights on, food on the table, and not having to worry about how bills will be paid NOW. When you go out on worksmans comp, you go to 66% of your base salary. Any extra work that was being performed to supplement income is lost during this period as well as side jobs. Any insurance supplements take weeks, if not months, to be paid out. Thank you for being a part to help this family!
Update 5/5/23 yesterday, Ryan’s shooter was apprehended!! We escorted Ryan home yesterday to begin the healing process at home. He was able to have his wife and daughter under one roof and I can’t begin to imagine the joy and relief that has brought him. He is still battling a tremendous amount of pain as he was cut from the shoulder to his elbow during surgery. There’s a chance that he will need a second surgery but we are remaining optimistic and praying that things will heal without the need for any additional medical intervention. I can’t begin to thank y’all for the donations, I'm speechless and it’s going to help more than any of you know. Continue to pray for him and his family!
