Double hernia & spleen removal for GrumpyDog

Hi my name is Daniel and I need help raising funds for surgery for my sweet 10 year old dog that I love with all my heart. His name is Grumpy and he’s the sweetest boy. We’ve now had an ultrasound and determined Grumpy needs to have surgery to remove 2 hernias that have holes in them. His prostate is going into one of the holes, which has been causing him to get urinary infections and have occasional bloody urine. This surgery will fix these issues for him. He’ll also be neutered during the procedure, as him being unaltered is what caused the hernias. During the ultrasound, it was discovered that he also has a growth in his spleen and will need to have his spleen removed during the hernia operation. I can not afford the surgery on my own at this time. I applied for credit but didn’t get approved for the amount to cover his surgery. I’m doing my best to save up the funds, while being a new dad, but his condition is worsening each passing day. If there’s anything you can spare to help, please please donate.

Grumpy’s surgery will be handled through his veterinarian at Boulevard Animal Hospital in Garden Grove, California. His operation is scheduled for Wednesday May 17th.

Please donate to help save sweet Grumpy Dog’s life. He’s a Good Boy

More about Grumpy: Grumpy is a Boston Terrier/Pug Mix. He’s about 10 years old. I adopted Grumpy in Long Beach, California when his previous owner was unable to take him to their new apartment. Grumpy loves anything and everything outdoors, except rivers and cold water. His favorite is a mountain top view, where he will stare out into the distance, appreciating natures beauty, as any nature loving person does. He’s hiked to the top of Mt Baldy, and also Sandstone Peak, the highest point in the Santa Monica Mountains! He’s been to the giant redwoods in Sequoia, and seen the elephant seals near Big Sur. Grumpy even helped me ward off bears from our campsite with his brave voice. Grumpy loves his toys, and is careful not to tear them up. His favorite being Christmas themed toys. Once when I was going through a tough time, Grumpy jumped onto my lap, put his paws on my shoulders and leaned in, as if he knew I needed a good hug. He’s even been sweet to our baby, and he is very gentle and patient with her. He’s a really special dog and we’re the best of friends. I’m sure he has plenty of years left in him once he gets through this procedure and I hope our baby gets to grow up with him in his older years.

Thank you for your donation and for reading Grumpy’s story. I can’t thank you enough for your donations towards his medical procedures. With the help we received early on, we were able to get his blood work and ultrasound done, as well as the medications Grumpy needed. I will keep everyone updated on his condition as best I can. Have a great day!
