Whitney’s Eye Melanoma
Donation protected
Most don’t know, but Whitney was recently diagnosed with melanoma in her eye. This is a tumor that can’t be removed, but is being treated. Thank the Lord she was proactive and upon noticing it started to make doctor appointments. After some scans and tests we are thankful it has not spread.
She is currently in Philadelphia recovering from surgery with one of the top ocular oncologists in the nation. She is undergoing radiation if the eye now. She will be able to come home this weekend, but the treatment doesn’t stop.
She will be out of work for at least 6 weeks. There will be laser treatments, and future flights to PA to monitor the tumor. She would never ask for support, so that is where her family and myself are stepping in. Any help is greatly appreciated. We are hoping to raise funds to help with bills, since she will be out of work, the flights she and Tony will take again, extra testing, laser treatments and anything else needed to keep this cancer at bay.
The family appreciates any and all help. If you choose to Venmo, please reach out. If you would rather send a meal those are appreciated as well. Prayers are always welcome so our girl can recover faster and feel better.
update 5/21 -
Whitney is home, but there have been some hiccups and the recovery is slow. She is not driving, cannot work, and is still in pain daily.
They don’t have social media but they want you all to hear this -
We are so very thankful for the outpouring of love everyone has showed us. We are humbled by the generosity. The road to recovery is a long one, but we are thinking positive and taking it day by day. THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of our hearts.
Whitney and Tony
The link is still active and going strong. If you are local and would like to contribute a meal please reach out to me. There isn’t an official meal train, but we have had friends/family bring meals and she is so grateful.
