MY FAMILY OF 7 LOST EVERYTHING IN A FIRE

My name is LaQuana Chappelle

A fire ripped through our apartment in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn yesterday destroying everything we own and leaving us displaced.

The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning at a multi-story building on Chester Street. Emergency services were called to the scene, and 55 firefighters were dispatched to tackle the blaze.

Me and my four children, Alexandria (16), LaQuan (14), Alexander (11), Brendan (6) along with our 2 dogs Sofia and Thor, and our cat Olivia were affected whereas we lost everything we own; including our home and all of their belongings. At this time we are unable to locate Olivia and we are all drained and absolutely devestated.

My family has been through a traumatic experience, and any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping them get back on their feet. Your generosity will make a huge impact on our family's ability to start over and rebuild after this tragedy.
