Hello family and friends,

Joel and I are asking for your support during this challenging time.

As most of you know we are expecting or baby boy Joel Junior. Junior will be undergoing heart surgery immediately after he is born. Junior has CHD-2 Congenital Heart Defects that will require this immediate surgery after he is born. He has an Aortic Arch interruption and a hole in the septum that separates his left ventricle from the right ventricle. He will also have a DiGeorge syndrome test done after he is born as there are correlations with AAI and DiGeorge syndrome. If all goes well, they estimate 4- 6 weeks in recovery (NICU). Hopefully, it can be a one- and-done surgery.

We have already had to relocate to Aurora, Colorado where the pediatric cardiology team will be assisting us. We anticipate many financial costs such as medical bills from the Congenital Heart surgery, the cost and expenses for having to relocate two weeks early (including Marbemi having to be transported via medical jet because she was having contractions), and the cost of staying in Colorado for 3-4 months depending on Junior’s recovery.

I will be induced on May 26th if junior doesn't make his entrance sooner.
