Hi, my name is Julia Towner and I have been selected to perform the title role of Bastienne in Mozart’s opera Bastien und Bastienne in the Austrian American Mozart Academy this summer in Salzburg, Austria. I have just graduated from Belmont University with my Master in Music Performance and this an incredible opportunity to help me get the experience I need as I begin my performance career. The academy offers weekly voice lessons and coachings as well as regular masterclasses with opera professionals. I will also have the opportunity to perform in the Salzburg Evangelische Kirche and attend the Salzburg Festival, one of the world's most important festivals for opera, music and drama.
