Nearly 3.9 Million dogs enter animal shelters each year. Of these 3.9 million, between 300 to 400 thousand will be euthanized for reasons including behavior, medical issues or a lack of space and resources. "Dog Spelled Backwards" is a story about these animals and the challenges they face each day living inside the shelter environment.
It is a story about a man named Tim chasing his dreams in the show business industry, and while doing so is struck by a matter of divine intervention. Upon saving one of these 3.9 million dogs from a shelter in South Los Angeles, Tim was faced with the difficult decision of having to euthanize his dog after the dog attacked a young child. It was then that Tim's call for dog training and behavior suddenly became evident. This experience would set in motion a new calling, one that would see Tim become a professional dog trainer and behaviorist; set out on a mission to educate, love and help as many dogs and people as possible.
"Dog Spelled Backwards" explores the human condition and how it relates to dogs as they provide a connection between God, Spirit and those who walk the Earth with their four-legged best friend beside them. It explores the crisis inside the American animal shelter environment and brings awareness to the plight of so many dogs. To help people understand what it takes to successfully rescue a dog, the film aims to inspire, educate and uplift anyone involved in the life of a dog.
The fundraising goal of $4000.00 is to cover all production (pre and post), editing and filming costs, as well as promotion of the film once completed.
