Hi, It’s Linda here continuing my cancer journey. I’ve been fighting GIST for 15 years and Renal Cell Cancer for 7 years. I had a kidney removed in 2021. This year the RCC metastasized to my back. As a result, I’ve had to go onto short term disability which means I’m earning 40% of my current pay. Plus my insurance reset date is May 1, not Jan 1 so we have to start over on the deductible and coinisurance owed for this year. So bills are unfortunately an issue for us right now. John is retired, and was about to look for a remote job before all this started this year. Now he is spending all his time taking me to treatments and doc appts. Being a caregiver is hard work and unfortunately it isn’t paid. So I’m asking for donations to keep us in our house and pay the medical bills. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you! Here’s a picture of the TKR as John and I call it. The Tumor Killing Room is where I’ve been having my Radiation treatments. I’ve done 4 out of 10 sessions so far and we believe we are seeing some positive results so far. When Radiation is done, I’ll start Immunotherapy with 2 drugs. After that, we will likely resume the oral chemo for GIST.
