Hello- my name is Samuel Rhymes. This is not an easy thing for me to do. I am an artist and ex scenic and sculpture in the Film/Television industry in Los Angeles. It’s been a heart breaking and beyond difficult few years, for me. In spite of my every attempt to keep myself from ever being in this position, I find myself caught in the landslide of covid decimating my work, my home and every cent of my savings. Not to use this as an excuse but the ripple effect has been unending. I have always been a hard worker and never afraid of a crazy long day of doing it. But apparently my body isn’t up for it much these days. Which is why I have transitioned into my art full time. I am very happy to share samples of what I do so you may know my skills. I lost my art studio in December as the owners of the building sold it and gave us 30 days to vacate. I was unable to find a suitable workspace and chose to put my supplies. Pieces of art, tools into storage. It has only gotten worse and I am several months behind and have had a lien placed on my things and an auction is set for a week from now. This is everything I have left, everything I have hope in and sadly I don’t have family to seek help from. I am asking for just what is needed to pay my bill and remove my things from storage. As an offering I would love to create a piece of art for you or your home (within the limits of the time and money to create it) as a way of at least giving you something in return.
