In Loving Memory of Jasmine Reed

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that my niece, Jasmine Reed, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 22, 2023 from complications from her accident back in March at the age of 22. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits, calls and continued contribution. This is an immensely difficult time for our family, so please continue to pray. We will provide further information on her celebration of life once details are available.

We appreciate any contribution made towards Jasmine's burial expenses. She was truly an angel walking among us and now she is coming home.

On Friday, March 24th, 2023, my niece, Jasmine Reed was on her way to take her final exam to complete her Master’s degree at The Ohio State University when she was tragically hit by a car while crossing the street near her off-campus apartment. As a result, she has suffered many life-threatening injuries that have kept her hospitalized and fighting to recover.

Jasmine is a beautiful, ambitious, independent and incredibly intelligent daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece who loves everything about being a BUCKEYE. She has enjoyed working with her college theater group, Off the Lake Productions, in the past and adores her family and friends. Jasmine is loved deeply by all that have the privilege to know her. She is a beautiful and special young woman.

Jasmine graduated from Winton Woods High School in 2018 in the top 15 of her class with a 3.7 cumulative GPA. She went on to receive a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology in May of 2022; graduating Magna Cum Laude. She worked tirelessly to complete her graduate degree in one year while maintaining a 4.0 GPA when she had her life-changing accident.

Jasmine is strong and determined and we do not doubt that she will get back to where she was. She just has a challenging road ahead of her. Jasmine has worked hard to fight through her injuries, but she still has a long road physically, emotionally and financially ahead of her. The financial toll has been great and will continue to be on her loved ones. Anything that you can do to lessen this load is much appreciated in addition to love and prayers.
