West High School is a part of Columbus City Schools, located in Central Ohio. Funding for public school systems has always been lacking when it comes to extracurriculars and this has increasingly gotten worse following the pandemic. 

Our kids, like any others, use sports programs as a way to have a sense of family and support. A lot of the athletes in our district are being raised by grandparents, siblings, and sometimes no one. They look to their coaches as people that they respect and appreciate. In return, our coaches at West go above and beyond for their student athletes. Often times paying out of pocket for essential items like cleats, baseball gloves, etc. our goal with starting an Athletic Booster program is to lessen the financial burden of the coaches and parents so that ALL of these kids have the support that they need to succeed. 

*Money raised with this campaign will go towards startup costs, including but not limited to registration fees for the State of Ohio and applying for Non-Profit Status.
