Single mum Julie Pringles battle with cancer

Hello there! we are Silvana and Dominic who have our dear friend Julie going through the fight of her life with having the big C . Julie is a single mother with a young daughter Tess. Julie was running a cafe in Leederville ‘Sayers’ and all was going well for Julie, business doing well, happily married, Tess doing well in school and had a nice home, until one day her husband did the unexpected and wanted a divorce. This shattered Julie immensely but she fought on working hard at her cafe and doing the busy mum things - taking Tess to netball, her friends houses, school drop off, all the usual teenager stuff while running back and forth from the cafe doing early morning and late nights. Then shockingly in November 2021, out of nowhere, she was hit with the news that she had stage 4 cancer, and the fight of her life began! Unfortunately the prognosis is not looking good for Julie . She has gone through chemo, radiation and was accepted into an experimental trial which unfortunately wasn’t showing signs of success so she couldn’t complete it.

Financially, Julie has been suffering also. Her divorce has left her with nothing.Her precious cafe went into liquidation which broke her heart even more ! she has been renting a two bed villa where the kitchen is upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs. Julie at this stage now can’t even get out of bed, let alone go upstairs to get something to eat or help prepare food for her daughter Tess.

We need to give Julie some peace of mind, that when she leaves this earth there will be some financial security for Tess.

We will always be here for Tess , but she will need to have her own space to finish university and live her life the best she can.

We know Julie is well loved not only by us but by many who know her from her famous cafe and her previous careers. We know there are many people with similar struggles out there and our hearts go out to them -
