The Shalom House

Hi my name is Diane Bolten. My son, Chris Pousseur, his wife Tracy, and their two daughters, are missionaries in Japan.
God has laid on their hearts to open Shalom House: an Arts and Community Center in a 4,000 square foot rental in Tokyo. Their heart is to make a safe space for people to work and learn together, practice their art, use community tools, and make DIY espresso in their “Living Room” space.
In Japan, when a tenant leaves a rental property, they totally remove EVERYTHING from the building before it is rented out again. This means pipes, walls, plumbing , electric boxes, etc. The only things left are walls, windows, and ceilings (and maybe a door, if you’re lucky)

This GoFundMe is to help them buy things like lights, couches, coffee machines, art supplies, community tools like saws, hammers, and drills, and a plethora of other things to make their building an inviting place to come and learn at! It will also help them with some of the finishing touches on construction.
Here’s an example of how your donation can make a difference.

A $50 donation will buy 1 light fixture so people can see their artwork

A $75 donation will buy art supplies or tools for 1 student

A $200 donation will buy a lightly used couch

A $300 donation will buy a rug to soften the concrete floors

A $600 donation will by a lever espresso machine for the cafe space

Every little bit in-between will be put to good use making Shalom House a place where their staff can share the love of Jesus, encourage each other, and create beautiful art with the people in their local community.

Thank you so much in advance .
