A Father's Legacy to His Beloved Wife & Daughters

Dear friends, it is with a broken heart that we write to inform you of the loss of Greg Ussery, 33 years old, on the 26th of April 2023. Greg was the beloved husband of Karima as well as the father to Liyana and her unborn baby sister (Olivia). He was the only son of Betsy and Michael Ussery. Greg has been a joy to so many lives. We are enormously proud of him for his many accomplishments, but especially for his kind heart, his generosity, his strong sense of duty, his love for his family, and his witty sense of humor. Greg was also a scholar, a history buff and a proud Marine who valued his country and his family most of all. Greg was a brother to so many. He was compassionate and humble. In his off-time he enjoyed hiking, sitting by the ocean, sitting by the fireplace, stepping out into the rain and thunder, planting trees and flowers and feeding birds.

Also, in his spare time Greg assisted veterans in their search for career opportunities. He loved supporting children and mentored children from a young age. He donated financially and toys to various churches as well as supported needy children’s programs in Latin America.

We all have so many great memories of Greg, but his daughters will grow up without their father. We seek your support in creating an enduring legacy for Greg by helping Karima and his family provide the life for his daughters that Greg always dreamed of. Together we can make this happen through love, prayer, donation, and continual commitment to Karima and his daughters.

“Oh God All Mighty, in the midst of everything and with broken hearts, we ask you to provide for our family and to protect us. To remember Greg and cherish his memories and to allow us to continue taking the next steps in Greg’s honor. God you fulfill all promises and grant rights, so we pray that you comfort Greg and welcome him into paradise. Wash him with water, cloth him in white, grant him peace, grant him rest, give him strength, and shower him with love. Surely you are the Most Kind, Most Compassionate, and Most Generous and to You, we shall return”.
