Help Latoya Get Back On Her Feet

Story

On April 14th Latoya was the victim of a hit and run In New York City at nine weeks pregnant and her ankle was shattered. Already she has had two surgeries and she still has to have multiple surgeries to walk again. She will be confined to a wheelchair for several months. Latoya is a kind, funny, intelligent, and strong person. She is maintaining a positive outlook and is working hard to completely recover. She is an essential worker, serving some of the most vulnerable persons in New York City experiencing a mental health crisis. Latoya responds as a mental health clinician, going into the homes of persons who are in crisis to get them the care needed. She also is the mother of a 15 year old and has a baby on the way. We hope to provide Latoya with financial support as she will face medical expenses and a lifestyle adjustment navigating New York City in a wheelchair.
