Garrit "Wes" Anderson's Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
Living life to its fullest does not always mean that you get to live the longest.

Garrit, known to almost all the rest of the world by Wes, @secretagent_wesanderson, @idroneaerials and most recently - @MojitoManWes, proved that to all of us this past Sunday when he, tragically, took his own life.

The recent news of Garrit's passing has led so many to wonder “How can I help?" At this time, the family wants to give Garrit the memorial and services he deserves, one that will leave a legacy to show how much he was loved and admired by his huge network of friends across the world. Any donation you can give at this time will greatly help.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to cover the cost of the funeral, memorial, remainder of his rent as well as the shipment of Garrit's belongings back to his family in Vermont. In the event we raise more funds than our goal is set, ALL extra donations will be allocated to Garrit's favorite Sanctuaries and Charities that he visited and was involved with during his travels abroad.

The charities we have so far are -
Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre (Borneo)
Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket (Kathu, Thailand)
We are still researching suicide prevention and depression programs to contribute to as well so that this does not happen to anyone else's loved ones in the future.

The services for Garrit will be back in his home state of Vermont, the details are still pending and we will keep you updated as soon as we know more. A memorial will be happening in Miami, sometime likely in the next two weeks. Those details are still to come as well.

A Note From Garrit's Family:
Garrit lived - truly lived - an amazing life - I often joked with him that I was living life vicariously through him. Early in his life, Garrit played the violin with the Vermont Youth Symphony Orchestra AND varsity football - imagine that! He put himself through college - he was an expert downhill skier - he was socially shy and highly intelligent. He deeply loved a beautiful girl that he never lost touch with. Garrit was also restless and thirsty for adventure. He lived to LIVE but wrestled with how to eventually manage a “conventional” life. I could go on and on, but right now, I need to emphasize this: depression is a debilitating disease that, without constant vigilance, sobriety and professional support, can and did with Garrit, have devastating consequences. We are grateful for those of you who touched his life and our hearts hurt for you as well. Please take care of yourselves and reach out to someone who loves you and/or a professional mental health counselor if you are suffering. Please! With love, Garrit's Aunt & Uncle, Juliette and Chip Anderson

Lead Fundraiser Background Info:
Hi my name is Ashlee Church, my daughter Alexis "Lex" Church dated Garrit "Wes" Anderson for many years and as a result, he became a permanent member of our family. We have been in touch with Garrit's immediate family daily since the incident and they have directed us to take charge in getting this donation process underway and managed. We hope you all are taking care of yourselves during this impossible time. He touched so many. Enjoy all the memories, special moments, travels, concerts and laughs you all shared. We all know that's the only way he would want it. ❤️
