Hi, my name is Amina Phal, I'm the mom of these two mini dachshund babies, Ollie (Left) and Penny (Right). Here is our little backstory, Ollie was born on October 29, 2018, in West Virginia. He is a red dapple miniature dachshund, I got Ollie at 7 weeks old on December 23, 2018, and he has been with me since! Recently on April 29, 2023, Ollie had not been acting like himself and had shown symptoms of IVDD, shaking, heavy breathing, not being able to walk, being unable to hold himself up when using the bathroom, and lack of thirst and appetite. All of which was later confirmed at an ER that same night. Monday, May 1, 2023, Ollie and I went to a Neurology Center to have a Neurology consult an MRI done. The results of the MRI have shown that Ollie has Stage 4 Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). Ollie unfortunately has started to lose feeling in one of his legs, surgery is Ollie's best option, and until the estimated costs can be taken care of Ollie will not be able to walk and will be managing care with pain meds.
