Husband and Wife Need Continued Funds

Donation protected

Hello Friends, Family, and New Connections:

Thank you so much for your donations so far. To finish June and into the first part of July, I calculated a need of just under $3000, so I increased the ask maximum to $8000. We are just $3200 from our goal.

The extra $3K will finish off our mortgage payment for June and also pay July's - this totals $1900. Food, gas, and a few misc. bills help me get caught up.

Reggie is walking again in regular shoesWe thought he was out of the woods concerning dizzy spells, but he had a good one late last week. In light of this, my income must come from telework.

My story.
In August of 2021, I was terminated from my job while disabled. The organization I worked for judged my work during times of disability. In October of 2021, I had an emergency colon resection and ileostomy. The following months were extremely hard on me, but nonetheless, I worked very hard and my work ethic prevailed for a season of time. That is until my employer fired me. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has an investigation pending, as I believe I was terminated not only without cause but while disabled.

The actions of my employer contributed to my temporary mental decline, as there were days I could not put two sentences together. Nonetheless, I continued progressing towards my Master of Science in Positive Psychology, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, with a graduation date of June 2024.

Reggie's Medical Disability.
After my unemployment benefits ran out, my husband (70 years old) had a dizzy spell from his ongoing orthostatic hypotension and, as a result, broke his ankle in four places. After surgery, he was required to be completely off his foot for 8-12 weeks. So far, he has done well with this as a wheelchair is his best friend! This has required me to do all the household chores and continue job hunting for remote-only positions. I cannot work outside the home with my husband in the state he is in.

I am in a position where I cannot work outside my home. I have decided to offer services in tutoring, editing, and coaching people in job searches. I'm looking forward to this venture and believe with my 20 years of HR experience and as a student of Positive Psychology, I can help many folks find the right kind of work by matching their strengths with jobs.

Thank you in advance for your help. "Thank you" is not enough, so I stand in faith with you that the blessings you deserve come back to put a smile on your face.
