Brother in the arts Manuel Gallegos

Hello, My name is Eduardo Castro I am a Bass-baritone and voice teacher in the northern Virginia/Washington DC area. I'm creating this fundraiser to help a friend and former student of mine, Manuel Gallegos. Manuel is a very passionate artist and has been trained vocally as well as in conducting. He has received a partial scholarship to study opera management

at the elite Accademia Teatro Alla Scala in Milan Italy. He has helped many colleagues when he was studying in Buenos Aires Argentina and now it's time for us to help our brother in the arts. As you know Milan is a very expensive city to live in, and even with the partial scholarship, he is left with living expenses plus the rest of the tuition. He will be studying at the Accademia for approximately two years or more with internships.

Manuel Gallegos is a young conductor and cultural manager, 18 years ago he left Peru in search of developing his artistic career and this 2023 he was accepted for the Master's Degree in Performing Arts Management at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, thus being able to fulfill his greatest dream. Manuel received a subsidy scholarship for 6 months to live, but he needs more support to be able to complete his master's studies for two years. We know that limitations for Latin American citizens should not be an impediment to progress and be good professionals and we are sure that this time it will not be an exception.

We hope that Manuel can fulfill his dreams and be able to bring his artistic experience as a message of culture and education for the young people of tomorrow.
