Running 31 Miles for Derrick Watson – Support His Daughter & Legacy

On behalf of Derrick Watson’s family, with the full blessing of his father, I am organizing this fundraiser to honor Derrick’s life, his work, and the family he left behind.

Derrick passed away far too soon at just 31 years old. He was a father, a son, a hardworking diesel mechanic, and the kind of man who built something from the ground up through grit, long hours, and dedication. Derrick started his own business, Blowing Smoke Diesel, with nothing but skill, determination, and pride in his craft. Anyone who knew him knew how seriously he took his work and how deeply he loved his family.

Most importantly, Derrick leaves behind a young daughter who meant everything to him. He loved that little girl with all he had. I know he’d want her taken care of, so we’re going to do just that!

To honor the 31 years Derrick was here with us, I will be running 31 miles in his memory. Every mile represents a year of his life—his sacrifices, his hustle, his love for his family, and the legacy he was building.

Why We’re Raising Funds

All funds raised will go directly toward:

• Supporting Derrick’s daughter, helping provide stability and care for her future

• Assisting Derrick’s father, who is now stepping in to keep Derrick’s business alive and preserve what his son worked so hard to build
