My husband & I started this journey with our student loans in 2014. Twelve years later… we still owe around $74,000.

We’ve made our required payments for years, watched over $20,000 disappear into interest, and somehow ended up owing slightly more than we originally borrowed.  

Instead of getting overwhelmed by the entire amount, I’m starting with one big goal: $30,000 by my 33rd birthday.  

We have until November 30th to see if I’m delirious or destined ✨ Happy birthday to me?  

If I reach that milestone, I’ll take on the next chapter and work toward tackling my husband’s portion of student loans. 

I’m documenting the journey through singing videos, embarrassing throwbacks, and sharing the real story behind my family’s student loan debt on TikTok and Instagram @singingoffmydebt. 

I’m putting myself out there, using my voice (literally), and seeing what we can accomplish together.
