30k in May

Joey and Luca are raising money for the burns unit at the Bristol Children's Hospital. The boys will each be running 30k over the month of May. We will be adding updates on here so you can see how they are doing!

In February this year, Joey sustained a nasty burn/scald during a cookery lesson at school. He required regular treatment on the Burns Ward over the following weeks and would like to give something back. The Peadiatric Burns Team are always looking to purchase things to make the patient journey a little less stressful. One of the items they are currently trialing is a VR headset for use by children to distract them during procedures such as dressing changes, which can be painful and traumatic. These have proven to be an effective way of reducing anxiety, but the ward need to fund the purchase of these themselves. Any donation would be fantastic to go towards the cost of these.
