My name is Angel Ramos, 35 years old – born and raised in the small town of Reading, PA. Running was “not” exactly on my bingo card before 2024-2025. In my younger years, I was extremely active and competitive with baseball, basketball, and football, but running was never an interest until last year.

It all began with my weight loss journey that led me to pique interest in endurance sports. Having a friend who had a run club made this “interest” quite the journey. From my first 2 miles run back in August of 2024, to competing in my 1st HYROX competition last June, and finishing the year with my 3rd half marathon in November – I could not be more appreciative of what running has done for me mentally and physically. The community bond, the willingness to suffer, endure pain, and mental grit it takes to do this is much more gratifying than anything I’ve ever been a part of.

I was introduced to The Speed Project back in 2024 and this past year, had the amazing opportunity to crew the 2025 LALV team. I am beyond excited and thrilled to be a runner this time around on the LALV 2026 NEMESIS TEAM. There is an appreciation of watching your teammates go through the motions of accomplishing this tough project. There’s even more appreciation to be able to prove to yourself and your loved ones that you too can do difficult things and be successful at them. My goal is to simply immerse myself in the experience and just enjoy my teammates as we embark on this journey, “again”.

2026 will be a huge year for me personally in the running space. There are many challenging races I look to be a part of but what better way to get this year going by suffering with your friends and running 305-ish miles!!!
