300km challenge
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Crohn's & Colitis UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Crohn's & Colitis UK: Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, affecting more than 300,000 people in the UK. Yet it is largely a hidden disease, and one that causes stigma, fear and isolation, its thought that many people with the condition go undiagnosed and suffer in silence.
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2015 and still struggle with the disease today. 2020 was a very difficult year for me and it was at this time that I decided I wanted to do something to help others in similar situations and help those that suffer in silence to talk and to get seen by a specialist.
I therefore came up with the idea of doing a 300km running, rowing and cycling challenge down the river Thames. I will be attempting this challenge in the summer over 3 days, starting from the source of the river Thames and finishing at the Thames Barrier in London.
