From the moment someone reports sexual violence, it takes an average of 3 years in the UK to reach a point of sentencing — if it even gets that far. The wait is long, painful, and often retraumatising for survivors.
This July and August I’m pledging to run 300 miles — to represent those 3 years and raise awareness about the urgent need for change in how the justice system handles sexual violence.
I will be updating the miles I have ran every week.
I’m aiming to raise £300 for Rape Crisis UK, who provide vital, trauma-informed support to survivors at every stage of their journey — whether or not they choose to report.
If you can donate, share, or simply spread the word, you’ll be helping create a world where survivors are heard, believed, and supported.
