30 Year Timelapse of NYC Skyline
Raising money to fund a 30 year timelapse of the NYC skyline and expand the project to other cities around the world.
EXPLANATION OF COSTS:
On July 11th 2015 I started my 30-Year long Time-lapse project. One camera has been taking a photo of the skyline of NYC every 30 seconds since then. 1 MILLION images each year.
This project is about watching NYC grow, but it is also about commemorating each day. Through my Instagram account, people are able to share what makes a particular day special to them. One user scrolled back four years to comment, “This is the day at 8am that we lost my father.” As I was thinking about how I wanted to reply, another user commented on that same day – mentioning the first user by name and saying, “I am so sorry for your loss. If it is any consolation, this is the day my beautiful baby girl was born.”

I am raising money to keep this project going. Funds will cover basic costs like hard drives, computer equipment, web hosting, electricity, and equipment maintenance in addition to helping me place cameras all over the world! I would love for someone to be able to see the sunrise in NYC on the day they got engaged and the sunset in Tokyo on the day they moved into their new home.
