On Saturday, April 23, Hector Sosa Mendoza was shot and killed in his front yard while celebrating his daughter's first birthday. He was attempting to get a person to leave because the man had brought a gun and was brandishing it. Hector was only 30 years-old, and leaves behind a wife and 4 children who need any help you can provide right now during this incredibly shocking and difficult time. I am one of his children's elementary teachers, and after speaking with Hector's wife, she is in desperate need of help to cover funeral expenses, and lost income.
